Our Rules

In order for everyone to have the best experience, there are a few rules you should be aware of:

1. Please, only register to an event if you plan on attending

2. We do understand that life gets in the way of the plans sometimes, but if you cannot attend set yourself as 'not going' as soon as possible! Our hosts are all volunteers, please do not make their work harder by registering and not showing up!

3. If you registered to an event and either do not attend or cancel less than twenty four (24) hours before the event starts, we will ask you to pay the fee for the event nonetheless. This rule always applies, irrespective if there are other people that will take your spot or not. Event hosts have the option to waive the no show fee at their discretion, so please be friendly and fair and contact your host as soon as you know that you will not be able to make it.

4. We cannot guarantee a spot for you if you are on the waitlist, so please, do not just show up as you might not be able to play. Please check up to 2 (two) hours before the start of the event to see if you got in. If not, no worries! There is always the next event! You can also cancel your waitlist spot at any point free of charge by adding yourself to 'not going' if you do not think you will be able to check regularly if you got in or your plans are likely to change.

5. We want to cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. People join our events to have fun and exercise. To that end, please try to not be annoying or irritating towards any members or hosts. Harassing members, disrupting the events or sending unwanted messages to other members is not allowed in our community. If you are the recipient of such messages, please send a screenshot of the message to [email protected].

6. Our hosts have the task of keeping the community in working order and insuring a good overall atmosphere to our events. We hold the right to remove from our community any members that infringe on these rules at our discretion. Please follow their instructions before, during and after our events.

7. You are responsible for the guest(s) you are bringing to our events. That means, if your guest(s) do not show up, we will ask you to pay the no-show fee on their behalf.

8. This community is for people that want to learn to play badminton, have fun and exercise. To that end, we do not condone competitive approaches of players that play very aggressively only to win a point.

9. If you have any technical difficulties with Meetup like registering to events, cancelling your RSVP or any other technical difficulties, please message the event host as soon as possible for working out a potential solution.
